Analysis Paralysis

Choosing progress over perfection, because done is better than perfect.

Kicking off my first blog post at the source of both my inspiration & demise, Analysis paralysis. This website has been 95% created and good to go for the last few weeks but I was stuck in loops,

  1. Deciding what to write me first blog on

  2. Choosing the tone for the blog

  3. Overthinking the format

  4. Sticking to a topic

  5. Calculating what could go wrong

  6. Thinking of preventive measures for the above

p.s can you see the repetition here?

The swimming thoughts in my mind like the tabs on my computer screen. Thing is, I love my many tabs, thinking about things, trying to see different points of view, ultimately trying to figure everything out.

However, there can’t always be a best engineered response to all my questions. I feel I’m searching for an outcome, chasing the high on an answer that isn’t searchable on the web. And it’s time I call myself on it.

As part of my blog, I’ll be sharing some of the things I’ve gotten up to which have helped me with my analysis paralysis & fun things you too could try to stay grounded. For me, my blog will be somewhere that I share my passions & trials in a fun creative way.

As I’m sharing a blog no better time than the present to share my two cents on that of Chat GPT.
I want to preface in saying that as great as Chat GPT is, I will never be using it for creating, formatting or editing my blogs or other written content in anyway.

With great inward reflection, I’m not sure if it’s my hate for change or my love for control, but I greatly dislike Chat GPT and its convenience. Internally screams we (humans) are good enough.

The level of tech we have access to these days really reminds me of the scene from Wallie. WHY is this level of tech necessary :( hashtag slumped, hashtag megaslumped.

I do feel the system has failed though. As a species we are intellectual and capable beings. So why train us up to be critical thinkers and then hand us a robotic version that can do it for us.

Fire in the Booth – Bugzy Malone Part 2 (get to know)

Sharing my own human led writing is new, challenging, uncomfortable and daunting. But staying stuck in constant analysis paralysis & renumeration loops is scarier. Please stick around if you want to witness my personal trade off unfold.

Also do expect a crazy quantity of movie / series references throughout as this is my kryptonite.
